Random Selection Mechanism
The device uses a randomised process to select individuals for alcohol and drug screening, reducing the risk of biased decision-making and promoting fairness in security operations. When the button is pressed, it will display either “Pass”, “Alcohol” or “Drugs”. If pass is shown, the candidate moves on but if alcohol or drugs get selected, the candidate will undergo a search or test.
Compact and Portable Design
Made from durable, lightweight materials, the device offers both robustness and easy handling. Its ergonomic design ensures a secure and comfortable grip, making it suitable for extended use without strain.
Protection Against Discrimination Claims
To mitigate potential discrimination claims, the device employs a randomized selection process for alcohol and drug screening. This approach minimises the possibility of biased decision-making, thereby enhancing fairness and impartiality in security procedures.
User-Friendly Interface
With its simple operation and intuitive controls, the device requires minimal training for effective use. Security personnel can quickly learn to operate it, enhancing overall productivity.
Battery-Powered
The device operates on 3 AAA batteries, ensuring complete mobility and eliminating the need for cords or cables. Its low power consumption extends battery life.
Wall Mounting Bracket Included
While primarily designed for handheld use, the Random Search Selector can also be mounted on a wall with the included bracket. This setup allows individuals to press the button themselves, helping to minimise the risk of discrimination claims.
Adjustable Search Frequency
The frequency of searches can be adjusted using dip switches located under the battery cover, allowing customisation to meet specific security requirements and available resources.
